Zirconium Coatings

Zirconium crowns are white in color and have high light transmittance. These features provide a natural tooth appearance and prevent the gray gum reflection caused by metal-based porcelain crowns. Zirconium crowns can be applied in aesthetic concerns for changing the shape of teeth, whitening severely discolored teeth, and completing missing teeth or on implants. Additionally, zirconium crowns do not stain with substances like tea, coffee, and cigarettes, providing long-lasting aesthetics.

During the zirconium crown procedure, the patient's aesthetic expectations are prioritized. First, the teeth are numbed with local anesthesia, and the teeth are thinned without causing pain or sensitivity. During the process of producing permanent teeth, the patient lives with temporary teeth. Permanent zirconium teeth are made and presented to the patient within approximately a week.

Advantages of Zirconium Crowns

Aesthetic Appearance: Provides the aesthetics closest to the natural tooth appearance.

Durability: Supports high strength and long-lasting use.

Stain Resistance: Does not stain from tea, coffee, or cigarettes.

Laminated Treatment
(Leaf Porcelain)

Laminated porcelains are porcelain veneers that minimally wear the front surface of the teeth while preserving healthy tooth tissue. These veneers are aesthetically excellent and are difficult to distinguish from natural teeth. Additionally, porcelain surfaces do not stain with substances like tea, coffee, and tobacco.

Laminating treatment can be applied to close gaps between teeth (diastema), change the shape of teeth, repair fractures and cracks in the teeth, or in cases where desired color cannot be achieved with teeth whitening. However, laminating treatment is not recommended for patients who grind their teeth, have a nail-biting habit, have large fillings in their previous teeth, or have advanced periodontal disease.

To ensure the longevity of laminated porcelains, it is important to regularly brush the teeth and use dental floss.

The Process of Laminate Treatment

Smile Design

Photos taken from the patient are used to create a personalized design considering age, gender, and face shape.

Mock-Up

The finished state of the teeth (mock-up) is shown to obtain the patient's approval.

Minimal Abrasion

Minimal abrasions are made on the tooth surface with local anesthesia.

Temporary Teeth

Temporary teeth are used until the permanent crowns are installed.

Permanent Laminates

Permanent laminates are fixed to the teeth with strong adhesives.

Total Prostheses (Movable)

Complete dentures are prosthetics used in situations where all teeth are missing, supported by the gums, and can be removed and inserted. These prosthetics are designed to restore the functions of missing teeth and support aesthetic appearance.

Sensitive Retainers (Snap-On)

Sensitive retention prostheses are removable dentures preferred in cases of extensive tooth loss where fixed prostheses cannot be applied. Thanks to the hidden retainers that fit into the sockets on the teeth, aesthetic appearance is preserved and chewing functions are ensured. Over time, the rubber parts of the retainers may wear out, but if there is no issue with the prosthesis, it can continue to be used with rubber replacement.

Features of Sensitive Retention Prostheses

Aesthetic: Provides a natural appearance without a hook appearance.

Functional: Offers safe and comfortable use.
